Park Days

It gets to hot here in the summer to just play outside. So I try and go to a park that has some sort of water for the kids to play in. This is the main street water park in St. George. Lauren and kids, Denise and kids and my kids and I went there last week. Our kids are really close in age so it is fun to get them together and play. Logan wasn't with me this day because he was at Lagoon with Grandma, Grandpa and Desirae and family.

Two days later we went to Little Valley Park with my friend Elisa and her two cute kiddos. It was even to hot at 1030 in the morning. So next time we will have to go earlier. Raylie got a hold of my camera (again) and these are the pictures she took. Logan took some too.

Grandma also came to meet us at the park. These kids have a fun time playing. Logan was being a good helper to Elisa by keeping Anna and Ehtan in the netted area.

And for those days that I just don't feel like going anywhere.....I make our own water park in the front yard. The kids LOVE it!!

This was before Luke learned to walk. He didn't mind crawling on the grass to much though.

In the Car

This was on our way home from Salt Lake a couple weekends ago. I didn't get any pictures of the fun we had. It is hard to keep track of the kids and get pictures when I am being a single mom....Josh had to stay home because of work and homework. Luckily Dan and Chantelle came with us! Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting us borrow their van so we all could fit!

Don't let this cute, happy face fool you. He was only happy about one hour, sleeping one and then crying the next 1-2 hours.

I even gave him Raylie's doll to try and keep him happy. It only lasted for a little bit. I guess a hairdresser is NOT in his future.

Raylie didn't mind that Luke was playing with her doll because she did this about 2 hours of the drive. I hate it when the wrong one falls asleep!

We went to Salt Lake for a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Great's. It was fun to see my Uncle and his family who moved to TX and a cousin I haven't seen in about 5 years!

Memorial Day (Finally)

For Memorial Day weekend we went to Las Vegas. We started off by going to the Sushi Factory. Josh tried it, Jeannie tried it and I don't think they will be eating it again.Later that day went to The Bellagio to see the fountains and then over the The Paris. We were able to get a free ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Those casino/hotels are amazing! The kids had a good time, we just had to TRY and keep there eyes off of all the filth on the strip.

On Sunday we just stayed at Grandma Jeannie's house and Raylie got a hold of my camera. These are the pictures she took.

On Monday we went to a park and had lunch (I didn't get any pictures there). Then we headed to the cemetery to visit Grandpa Ray.

This is the WHOLE group of us. Were are missing only 2 from this picture. Gary was working (he is a fire fighter) and Lucas was asleep in the car.

We ended up at Melanie and Gary's house so the kids could play with their cousins before we came home. Melanie and Gary got a new puppy, we had a great time playing with Kitty!

Famous Last Words

No I am NOT trying to drink the water..... This is how I actually FELL! I was telling Logan to be careful because the mud and rocks can be slippery. I went to stand on the rock my top half is on and stepped on a SLIPPERY part. YUP, my right foot that I was standing on went RIGHT out from under me and I FELL. I couldn't lift myself back up...if you look at the picture you can see my arms are right by my tummy, ya I am not strong enough to do that kind of push-up. I couldn't kneel and get up because my knees were over the water. So I had to call for Josh. He HAD to get a picture before he came to my rescue! Thus the only reason why I am posting this is because he said if I didn't he would. All I could do was laugh because it really is funny when I think about it. I am still a little sore in my back and knees. I do have a bruise on my knee to prove it!

BUT... It was a fun time in Springdale. We went with Grandma and Grandpa F, Dan and Chantelle, Sharise, and us. We had a little picnic and played by and in the river.

Some Summer Fun!

The wonderful thing about living in Southern Utah are all the parks with splash pads! I love this park. It is the Hidden Valley park. This was Luke's first time at the splash pad and he LOVED it. We were lucky enough to have Daddy and Grandma Fowlks with us!
Luke also enjoyed swinging in the swing!

We also have a swimming pool at our townhomes. The kids always LOVE going. Lucas wasn't so sure about it at first but he LOVES it now. I love his cute chubby body!

They have become quite the little fish. Logan spends his time jumping in. Raylie spends her time trying not to get her hair and face wet (she is tooooo much like me).
One Monday night mom, dad, Dan, and Chantelle went swimming with Josh and the kids. Unfortunately I was at work.

The BOY eating his CAKE!

The PINATA

The PRESENTS

My baby BOY is ONE! We had a fun little party for him. Since he loved Sully so much at Disneyland we decided to do a Sully cake for him to destroy. Grandma made the Mike pinata and it turned out great! THANKS Grandma! We then had him open presents. It was a great day!

DISNEYLAND!

DAY 1
We arrived to California on Sunday night. It took us 8 hours to get there! There was an accident 20 miles out of Vegas, it was at a stand still or slow moving for about 2 hours! Once we past the accident it was smooth sailing til Cali. We got unloaded and got the kids to bed.

DAY 2
We made it to the park at 9:30 a.m. We had to get breakfast at Burger King because our hotels idea of a "free continental breakfast" is Donuts and Coffee!
We went to Disneyland first and rode some rides. Then we headed over to California Adventures around 11:30 because we had a lunch reservation at 1:10.

We took Logan on the Tower of Terror and he was TERRIFIED! I wish we would have looked at the picture just to see how terrified he was! He was wanting it to be over and DID NOT want to ride it again.
While in California Adventures we saw Sully and were able to get a few pictures with him. Lucas LOVED him! It was so cute he wanted to go to him. Sully was playing with Lucas.

For lunch we went to Ariel's Grotto. It was fun, but not sure if I will eat there again. They have changed the menu and increased the prices! But it was fun to see all the princesses and Raylie was in heaven!
This is the plates of appeitizers that we all had to share. The bread was in the shape of seaweed.

Lucas was sporting his King's crown! Well he was in the process of taking it off when we got the picture!

Here we are with all the princesses. There was Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Belle and Snow White. There was also a "little" helper who announced the princesses. He was playing with Lucas until Lucas realized I wasn't by him and he started crying.

We also got to see Chip and Dale. It was nice not having the kids afraid of the characters. Logan and Raylie wanted a picture in the letters of there name. Lucas was asleep so I didn't get one of him in the L.

We got each of the kids Mickey Hats. They each picked there own hat out and we had their name put on the back of them. Lucas was very happy to be wearing his hat!

DAY 3
On Tuesday we went down to Huntington Beach. It was a little overcast and breezy but not bad. The water was FREEZING but it didn't stop the kids from wanting their swimsuits on and playing in the water. We saw about 6 dolphins swimming in the water. It was pretty cool. The kids LOVED playing in the sand. Lucas really wasn't sure if he liked it. When I would set him down to stand in the sand he would cry. The poor little guy woke up with a fever so I think he just wasn't feeling good.

The hole! Josh dug a hole for the kids. We burried Logan in it. He thought it was fun til he got out and sand was ALL OVER him and in his suit. He was growing in the sand(that's why his arms are out like stems).
After we got back from the beach the kids and I went swimming in the pool and hot tub. Then we all showered and went to Downtown Disney for an hour or so.

DAY 4
We went back to Disneyland and California Adventures on Wednesday to get the rides we didn't get to on Monday and ride the ones we LOVED again.

We went on the huge Ferris Wheel in the swinging cart. Logan DIDN'T like it at first, Raylie LOVED it the whole time and Lucas just wanted to get down from my lap.

We were super lucky to see a lot of the characters and get our pictures with them. I don't remember seeing as many the last times I have gone to Disneyland.
We had a great time! There were just a few minor mishaps... like me forgetting the stroller(Disney strollers are actually quite nice), Lucas waking up Sunday morning with his ears draining, Tuesday with a fever, Raylie crying Tuesday night that her ears hurt (she finished amoxil on Monday) and Logan waking up Wednesday with a croupy tight cough.
Other than that we had a GREAT time and can't wait to go back again!!!
