August 2011

Oh August.... this was one crazy month. For some reason I have no clue what happened to the first day of school pictures of the kids. Logan started 2nd grade and Raylie is in her second year of Preschool. She started out just in Watch Me Grow but was wanting more. So luckily we qualified for free preschool with the school district so she got in there. She is sooo ready for kindergarten. If I ever find them, I will post them. One day we were just having some fun with the camera.

One of the NOT fun days in August was hearing that my older sister Desirae was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This took our whole family by surprise! For a couple reasons: 1. There is/was NO family history. 2. She was only 33, that is WAY to young.

I wanted to do something for her but not sure what. So I turned to crocheting. I made this lap blanket for her and a couple hats (which I never got pictures of before I sent them her way).

One of the days we went to Virgin and let the kids play in this little petting zoo. Luke LOVES animals and I do not. He had no fear of any of them.

Raylie and Luke play LOTS of dress-ups. Somedays she makes him a princess and others a pirate...so he is well rounded.

We put the boys in the same room and Raylie got her own....which she hates being by herself. I keep telling her that someday she will LOVE having her own room.

This face gets into A LOT of trouble. He is constantly going and into EVERYTHING. But he is a SWEET, Tenderhearted little boy. Love my Squish.

Summer 2011

Okay so in attempts to get caught up on blogging because I am so far behind there will be little words and lots of collages of pictures. Pictures are the funnest though so I am not concerned.

For Memorial Day this year we stayed here and Jeannie and Michelle came up. We visited the graves of Grandma and Grandpa Gibson in the St. George cemetery. Grandma and Grandpa Isom in the Hurricane cemetery. We also made a little trip to Grafton. On Josh's mom's side there were family members buried there.

My whole family was able to get together. We had a lot of fun being together at Quail Lake, Anti-Gravity, Tuachan and swimming at our pool. It was fun to be able to get a new family picture....even though in a few months it will be missing 2 new ones.

Grandma and Grandpa got time to spend with all these crazy kiddos and by this time Luke was DONE getting pictures, Sam was not wanting to hear Luke and Haiven was taking in the scenery.

Thought I would try to get one of my kids but 1/3 of them was not willing to smile and be happy for the picture.

Playing at one of the many water parks with family.

Being out in the sun means putting on LOTS of Sunblock....Luke tried to help himself with that one.

You can't have a summer in St. George and NOT go to Red Cliffs a few times.

Whats a summer without a few sleepovers with cousins, playing hide and seek, playing with hair and just being goofy.

Making one of our every 6 months up north to visit the eye doctor to check Logans' eye. This time the cataract had grown back! So he had to do a mini laser eye surgery to break up the cataract. The laser actually put a hole in the back of the capsule to keep it from returning. So since we were right close by Hogle Zoo we decided after it was done we could go see Zoorasic Park.

Last but not least doing a little photo shoot with this "agorgeous" face!

A weekend in Vegas!

In January Josh and I stayed a night in Vegas for our 9th Anniversary. When we got the the Mandalay Bay (where we stayed a night on our honeymoon) they were all out of the room we reserved(a spa suite). So once we got home we filled out a guest survey and told them how we were looking forward to getting the same type room we had , etc....so they sent us a voucher for a free SPA SUITE!!
We were planning on going to Vegas again in May for Josh's family BBQ and decided this is when we would use the free room, we knew the kids would LOVE the view and tub!

Rub a dub dub three cute kids in the tub!!
This was after we went swimming at the Mandalay Beach, which was kinda diappointing because I think there were only about 10 kids there!! We could only swim in the lazy river because all others were for adults or private parties.

Couldn't resist this picture! Cute little Luke enjoying the great view from the room!

Squishy turns 2!!!

When did this cute little face turn into......

This cute little face!! I can't believe my baby is two!!

He was LOVING Blue Clue's at the time of his birthday so we did a Blue's Clue cake.

He thought it was pretty cool to be the center of attention with all of us singing Happy Birthday.
He LOVES to clap after any song is finished being sung. Even in church.....

The Presents!! I thought it was gonna take a LONG time getting through them because he was ripping them tiny piece by piece. He is such an expressive little guy I love watching his face!

We decided he better get a "boy" bike so he didn't have to ride Raylie's old girly one.
Grandma and Grandpa Fowlks, Dan, Chantelle and Haiven came to join us at the party.

A few fun things about this little man:
1. He is ALWAYS on the go!!!
2. He is VERY curious about EVERYTHING and gets into EVERYTHING.
3. He is sweet and loves to give "Tisses" (when he isn't busy teasing everyone).
4. He loves to wrestle with his big brother.
5. Loves his mom and dad and has a hard time when niether of us are not around.

Red Cliffs with friends

The kids and I made a trip to Red Cliffs with some friends. There were a totally of 11 kids there! We hiked to the stream and the kids LOVED it!!

Luke kept trying to jump into the water and I turned my back for a second and he was in the cold water!!! So I had to carry him back because of wet pants and shoes.

We packed a lunch and the kids chowed down between running off and playing. I was lucky to snap this shot of my three kiddos!

*Lukes shirt says, "I am definitely up to something!" This fits him 100%*

Easter 2011

Easter 2011 we started off at the Leeds Easter Egg hunt. The kids had a GREAT time and got a few eggs to take home in there baskets.

The Easter Bunny even made a showing and gave the kids a paddle ball toy.
Luke had all his candy eaten before we even left the park!

We then went to Grandma and Grandpas house for decorating Easter eggs (I don't have any pictures of) and a little egg hunt in their backyard.

This is the kids on Easter Sunday. It was quite chilly outside and Luke wasn't really in the mood for a picture. This is the best I could get, but I figured it shows personality.

The loot from the Easter bunny!

The kids were quite excited about there baskets!

Red Cliffs with family.

We are lucky to live in such a beautiful area! In March Josh and the kids went with Mom, Dad, Daniel, Chantelle and her family for Family Home Evening (I was working that night), to Red Cliffs. They packed foil dinners and had smores!

Luke loves being outside and had a blast playing! Uncle Daniel even had fun "playing" with Luke. Logan and Raylie were off playing and didn't get any photo opps.

He was running from one place to another. Haiven pretty much slept the whole time.

This face I love!!! He found this tree stump and had to cheese it!
